Julius Tart Optical is the brand created in collaboration by Tommy Ogara and Richard Tart grandson and sole successor of Julius Tart, founder of the legendary Tart Optical Enterprise in the early 1950s. Mr. Richard Tart has a proven track record of working both in the factory and in marketing at Tart Optical and is the sole inheritor of Julius Tart's designs.

Building on the enormous work left behind by Julius Tart, using superior and modern Japanese technology together with the best materials, the new models leave the perception of a product that has never been made before. Julius Tart Optical masterfully realizes the evolved reproduction of the same models of yesteryear with unparalleled quality while keeping Julius' stylistic vision intact.

Tart was worn in the second half of the last century by many celebrities such as J.F. Kennedy, James Dean and more recently by Johnny Depp.
