Julius Tart Optical is the brand created in collaboration by Tommy Ogara and Richard Tart, the nephew and sole successor of Julius Tart, founder of the legendary Tart Optical Enterprise in the early 50s. Mr. Richard Tart boasts proven work experience in both the factory and marketing departments of Tart Optical and is the sole heir to Julius Tart's designs.

Building on the extensive work left by Julius Tart, and using superior modern Japanese technology along with the best materials, the new models create the perception of a product never before realized. Julius Tart Optical masterfully produces evolved reproductions of the original models with unparalleled quality, while preserving Julius's stylistic vision.

Tart was worn in the latter half of the last century by many celebrities such as J.F. Kennedy, James Dean, and more recently by Johnny Depp.
